Hey ya’ll! Today seems to be the perfect day to start my very first entry in my Life Lately series because I have some big news! - BUT, before we start I would like to explain a little bit about my new series, Life Lately. So basically Life Lately will be a quick little run down of what has been going on in my life recently. It will include weekly picks of music, fashion, entertainment, and more, that I’ve been into lately. Due to my busy, always evolving schedule, I will not have a planned schedule for when I will be posting these, but you can expect at least two each month. So anyway, without further ado…
life lately vol. 1
Hey guys! If you have been following along with my last few blog posts, you know I went to New York last February to see Mean Girls on Broadway… a once in a lifetime trip for a 15 year old Illinois farm town girl, who never ever thought she would even make it there. Well, last week, I got some extremely exciting news. I am on my school's Varsity Dance Team. It is complete HELL, but I live through it because I love to perform. At our last practice, our coach announced that we would be taking a trip this summer to New York. I was not too excited until she mentioned that we would be seeing three Broadway musicals, Wicked, Hamilton, and... Mean Girls!! I can’t wait! It’s all I can think about- which is good because I have all school year to plan for it!
So that’s my big news! Anyway, besides that, me and my family decided to go camping this weekend at a campground near my brother, Walker’s, away football game and my cousins GORGEOUS wedding. While camping, I’ve basically spent my time playing with my little cousins who came camping with us, painting rocks (a fun activity I like to do and then hide them around town), taking LOTS of naps, and Pinteresting and planning for my New York trip. Not anything too exciting.

MUSIC: Ben Platt's new single RAIN, Anything by First Aid Kit but I’m really liking Waitress Song, and Machine Gun by Sara Bareilles.
FASHION: I have been OBSESSED with rompers lately! They are perfect for school and the summer-y weather we are having right now!

ENTERTAINMENT: Lately I’ve been bingeing the TV show The Middle. It is so funny and my family loves to watch it together.
